Applicants Eligibility Criteria

  • Any candidate from anywhere in the world is eligible, regardless of nationality.
  • Candidates for master’s degree programs must hold a bachelor’s degree.
  • Candidates for doctoral degree programs must hold a Master’s degree.
  • Candidates must be of top academic status, in strong moral standing, and in overall good health.
  • A candidate cannot be awarded a scholarship and another one at the same time.
  • The application form must be submitted on its whole.
  • No application fee is required.

Required Documents for Admission-

Please, carefully check the list of documents given below & prepare these documents accordingly-

  1. Official university transcripts-You must submit an official complete university Transcript/ Mark sheets/ Graduation Certificate/ Academic Record from every institution previously attended. A scan of the official transcript provided by the university in the native language must be uploaded into the online application along with the certified English translation. Your transcript must include the university grading scale for all documents submitted. If offered admission, an official final transcript must be sent to the Office of Admissions prior to arrival (during the onboarding process) in a sealed envelope.
  2. Curriculum Vitae (CV)-You should also provide a synopsis of your work history, research background, and any other pertinent information with your application. Please add summaries of any articles you have in your resume.
  3. Statement of purpose-Your previous work, preparation for the preferred field of study, pertinent background and hobbies, academic intentions, and long-term goals should all be covered in 750 words or less. Please give a brief explanation of why you are applying to the specific KAUST program for which you are hoping to be accepted.
  4. Three letters of recommendation-Three recommendation letters must be filed on your behalf. It is crucial that professors or advisers who have guided your research or taught you courses in your primary field of study provide your letters of recommendation. Letters of recommendation should be sent directly from the recommender through the application. Recommenders should describe how they came to know your work, provide comparisons (e.g., best in class, best in the previous five years, etc.), and offer insight into your capacity for research.

  6. Official GRE scores (GRE submission is encouraged and will enhance an application, but it is not compulsory
